UnidosUS Urges a NO Vote on H. Res. 461

UnidosUS urges members of the U.S. House of Representatives to oppose H. Res. 461, a bill that is scheduled for a vote on the House floor on June 22, 2023. The legislation condemns for political reasons state and local decisions about providing temporary shelter to legitimate asylum seekers as they seek work and the ability to support themselves. The bill does nothing to strengthen southern border management and distracts from the critical work that is needed to ensure that every child gets a quality education.
