UnidosUS Comments on the “Child Nutrition Programs: Revisions to Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans” Proposed Rule

Regulatory Comment

Healthy school lunch tray

UnidosUS submitted comments in response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Proposed Rule on stronger nutrition standards for added sugars, sodium, and whole grains in school meals.

We urge the USDA to strengthen school nutrition standards to be consistent with the 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines of America (DGA), as these policies would help to ensure that Latino students have access to healthful and nutritious school meals.
