UnidosUS Letter to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator

Letter

Prior to the pandemic, enrollment in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) was declining, especially for Latino children.

However, these trends have reversed largely due to protections created by Congress during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE). In this letter UnidosUS makes concrete recommendation to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to build on the success of pandemic-era policies to maintain coverage gains and to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries remain enrolled in public health coverage, including after the public health emergency (PHE) ends.
