Latino Jobs Report Health Care Adds Most Jobs in August

Fact Sheet

U.S. employers added 173,000 jobs in August 2015, the lowest number of new jobs added this summer. The national unemployment rate inched down to 5.1%. Although the unemployment rate for Latinos also declined slightly to 6.6%, the drop in unemployment was a result of Latinos who have stopped searching for work rather than newly employed workers.
