UnidosUS Comments on the “Child Nutrition Programs: Community Eligibility Provision—Increasing Options for Schools” Proposed Rule
UnidosUS submitted comments in response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Proposed Rule to expand community eligibility provision (CEP) for free school meals.
We urge the USDA to expand access to CEP by lowering the minimum identified student percentage (ISP) participation threshold from 40% to 25%. This proposal will advance equitable access to healthy school meals for low income communities of color.
