This letter from 82 national and state-based organizations urges the leaders of the House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education Subcommittees to include $1 billion for Title III of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) in FY 2026 funding legislation.

Title III, the English Language Acquisition program, is the only federal funding source dedicated to providing English learners (ELs) access to the resources they need to attain English language proficiency and meet the same challenging academic standards that their non-EL peers must meet.
