Policy Brief

UnidosUS conducted a landscape analysis and literature review to understand how students, particularly Latinos and English learners, experience the Algebra I-to-STEM pipeline. Building on this work, this research agenda synthesizes existing evidence, highlights emerging themes and identifies critical gaps in the knowledge base regarding Latino students, English learners and mathematics education. By integrating research and policy perspectives, the agenda seeks to inform future research, practice and policy efforts aimed at expanding equitable access to mathematics and STEM pathways.
