On April 16, over 250 organizations nationwide released a joint sign-on letter expressing deep concern over a newly disclosed agreement between the IRS and ICE that would permit the sharing of confidential taxpayer information for immigration enforcement.

The letter warns that this move violates nearly 50 years of bipartisan privacy protections, jeopardizes the integrity of the tax system and could result in massive economic fallout. The undersigned groups urge Congress to take immediate action to investigate and block this dangerous overreach.
