Latino Jobs Report: Latino Unemployment Drops to 5.2%

Fact Sheet

The November 2021 jobs report showed the economy added 210,000, falling short of expectations ahead of the holiday season.

Much of the job growth was led by the professional and business sectors, where Latinos are normally underrepresented.

Latino unemployment is down to 5.2%. Although this month’s Latino Jobs Report showed small improvements, Latinos are still far behind where they were prior to the pandemic and faring worse than other worker groups. These ongoing disparities highlight the need for bold policy action that is inclusive of Latinos, immigrants, and undocumented workers to ensure a full and equitable recovery.
