Broken Ladder: Latino Working Families Fight for Economic Stability

More than 60% of Latinos believe the path to upward mobility is broken. On Oct. 6, 2026, UnidosUS, in collaboration with BSP Research, released a survey of Hispanic working-class adults, and these findings reveal why: Working-class Hispanic families are doing everything right yet still facing barriers to stability, dignity and prosperity. With the midterm elections just weeks away, the findings offer a barometer of what Latino registered voters want from their leaders, and a warning that few candidates are reaching out to them.
