Joint Follow-up Letter from Civil Rights Leaders to Secretary Becerra
Civil rights leaders from the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, Coalition on Human Needs, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, NAACP, National Council of Urban Indian Health, National Urban League, and UnidosUS sign a joint letter to Secretary Xavier Becerra, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), thanking him for his commitment to protect communities of color from the danger of a major civil rights disaster resulting from Medicaid unwinding.
In addition, the letter urges him to use his considerable legal authority to prevent state Medicaid programs from terminating families who continue to qualify.
