PHOENIX—NCLR (National Council of La Raza) President and CEO Janet Murguía will join Affiliates, community leaders and beloved children’s characters to open the 2017 National Latino Family Expo® at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. MST at the Phoenix Convention Center. Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, PBS Kids’ Daniel Tiger and Curious George are among the many costumed characters that will help kick off the celebration and welcome Phoenix families to the nation’s largest Latino family and consumer expo in the nation.

Concurrent with the 2017 NCLR Annual Conference, the National Latino Family Expo® is focused on providing resources and family-oriented activities for the Latino community. With more than 150 exhibitors and six themed pavilions, the Expo will have something for every member of the family to enjoy. From access to educational and career resources for Latino professionals to interactive S.T.E.A.M demonstrations for young kids, participants will discover a fun and informative weekend experience designed to empower our community. This year’s Expo will also bring back live music, dancing, free giveaways, and complimentary dental and vision screenings. The Expo will open Saturday, July 8 and run through Monday, July 10. The event is free and open to the public.

UPS, Health Net of Arizona and Cenpatico Integrated Care are co–title sponsors of this year’s Expo.
