Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Officially Open 2018 UnidosUS National Latino Family Expo®
Dora, PBS’s Super Whyatt and the GEICO Gecko among other popular costumed characters will welcome DC families to Expo
WASHINGTON, DC—On Saturday, July 7, UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguía, will join community leaders, Affiliates and popular children’s characters including Dora the Explorer, the GEICO Gecko and PBS’s Super Whyatt at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the 2018 National Latino Family Expo® the nation’s largest Latino family and consumer expo in the country. The Expo, which runs concurrently with the 2018 UnidosUS Annual Conference, will offer attendees a fun and informative weekend experience filled with entertainment, free giveaways and complimentary health services. UPS is the official Title Sponsor of the 2018 UnidosUS National Latino Family Expo.
This year’s event will feature five pavilions with more than 125 exhibitors offering a host of resources and services for all family members to enjoy, including free check-ups and dental screenings; back-to-school giveaways and story sessions; cutting-edge car displays and dance lessons. Enjoy live performances by artists like popular Latino children’s group from Puerto Rico Atención, Atención, Grammy Award winner Leonel Garcia of Sin Bandera, Making Movies, Mariachi Flor de Tolache, Boris Silva, and more at this year’s event.
The Walter E. Washington Convention Center will play host to this year’s Expo which will run through Sunday, July 8.
