Seven Dynamic Organizations Join the UnidosUS National Affiliate Network

WASHINGTON, DC—UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza) welcomed today seven new members to its national Affiliate Network of nearly 300 Latino-serving organizations. UnidosUS Affiliates provide key services and resources to millions of Latinos across the country and serve as advocates for our community on critical issues. The new community organizations joining the Affiliate Network include: Acero Schools, in Chicago, Illinois; Canal Alliance, in San Rafael, California; Centro Cultural de Washington County, in Cornelius, Oregon; DC Language Immersion Project, in Washington, DC; Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Inc., in Lawrence, Massachusetts; KIPP Southern California, in Los Angeles, California, and West Kendall Baptist Hospital, in Miami, Florida.

“We are excited to announce the addition of seven new organizations to our Affiliate Network. Our long-standing partnership with Affiliates coupled with their deep commitment to the mission and vision of UnidosUS has been imperative in helping us open the doors of opportunity to our community,” said UnidosUS COO Sonia M. Pérez.

Through their tireless work, these nonprofits have played a critical role in offering services and programs that support the well-being of Latino families. By bridging access to health and financial assistance programs; providing a quality education rooted in research-based models; and delivering urgent care services through compassionate care models—these organizations have had a tangible impact in improving economic, educational and health-related outcomes for our community.

The UnidosUS Affiliate Network is made up of community-based partners who are driving meaningful change in their communities. “We are especially excited that the addition of these Latino champions strengthens UnidosUS’s Affiliate voice and influence to expand opportunities for our community across key states—like California and Florida—and on major issues for Latinos, like education,” noted Viviana Lopéz-Green, UnidosUS Senior Director of Affiliate Engagement.
