Latina Wealth: How Investments We Make Today Can Begin Closing the Gap
On April 19, UnidosUS hosted a virtual town hall, “Latina Wealth: How Investments We Make Today Can Begin Closing the Gap,” which provided important analysis on the systemic barriers that Latinas face in improving their finances as well as recommendations on how to dismantle them.
The discussion also featured the release of our new report, “Closing the Latina Wealth Gap: Building an Inclusive Economic Recovery After COVID,” and featured special remarks from Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV).
There are 30 million Latinas in the United States and since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March of 2020, they have borne the brunt of the pandemic. UnidosUS’s new report brings the truly essential role of Latinas in the United States to light and provides recommendations for how to improve financial and wealth-building opportunities.
