Still at Risk: The Urgent Need to Address Immigration Enforcement’s Harms to Children

Issue Brief

Little girl holding sign stating "All Children Need to be with Their Moms and Dads."

This brief presents key data on immigration enforcement and its impact on our nation’s children, and it proposes action steps for the federal government as well as state and local policymakers.

Building upon findings in the 2018 CLASP (The Center for Law and Social Policy) Our Children’s Fear and the 2019 UnidosUS Beyond the Border reports, this brief focuses on interior immigration enforcement—policies carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the interior of the United States—not on enforcement policies at the country’s border.
