In 2019, UnidosUS launched its Financial Empowerment Network to help fulfill our commitment to promoting Latino economic well-being.

Through the Financial Empowerment Network, participating UnidosUS’s Affiliates integrate financial empowerment into the suite of services they offer their clients.

To better understand the experiences, successes and challenges UnidosUS Affiliate organizations face, we partnered with the Center for Community Capital at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to:

  1. Identify best practices by Affiliates for incorporating financial coaching into their suite of services.
  2. Understand any challenges that might have arisen during this process and identify how these challenges might be transformed into opportunities.
  3. Use this information to illuminate how best to scale the provision of financial coaching services throughout the UnidosUS Affiliate Network.
