Public Comment Submission UnidosUS Responds to Proposed Changes to the USCIS Fee Schedule
UnidosUS submitted a comment letter opposing the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service’s proposal to, among other things, increase naturalization and immigration benefit application fees. This proposed rule frustrates our nation’s immigrant integration goals, undermines the integrity of our legal immigration system, and threatens to inflict significant harm on our communities. Moreover, as we have argued before, the Trump Administration is deploying all regulatory and administrative tools at its disposal to reimagine and reshape the face of the nation to fit a retrograde vision of America. This proposal – and significant fee increases contemplated in it – is just another cruel example.
