UnidosUS to Host Roundtable Event Aimed at Energizing Latino Youth to Register and Vote

PHOENIX—UnidosUS (formerly NCLR) President and CEO Janet Murguía will join Latino students from ASU Prep Academy and local UnidosUS Affiliates at a roundtable event this Wednesday, March 7 at 3:00 p.m. MST to encourage civic participation among young Latinos and first-time voters. The event will provide attendees a platform to discuss some of the most important issues and unique challenges facing young Latinos, and highlight UnidosUS’s ongoing efforts to empower and mobilize Latino youth through voter engagement and education.

With the power of youth activism and advocacy at the national forefront, the roundtable will serve as an opportunity to lift up the voice and experience of young Latinos on issues that have and continue to impact our community; and the steps they can take to leverage their voice and vote to make a difference in their communities.

Interested media should RSVP to Gabriela Gomez at [email protected] or (202) 776-1732.
