UnidosUS and CLINIC: Scaling Through Partnership
In 2014, UnidosUS and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) formed a partnership aimed at increasing the capacity of UnidosUS Affiliates to provide immigration legal services, leveraging CLINIC’s expertise and UnidosUS Affiliates’ existing programs serving millions of Latinos annually. Over the past decade, this collaboration has significantly increased the capacity of Affiliates, with a doubling in the number of recognized organizations offering affordable immigration legal services within the UnidosUS Affiliate Network. This paper examines the effectiveness of this network collaborative model in expanding immigration legal services and its significance in addressing the field’s capacity needs. The model established by CLINIC and UnidosUS demonstrates effective network collaboration and serves as a replicable model for other networks seeking to provide immigration legal services.
