Enrique Davis-Mazlum, PhD

State Director, Arizona

Enrique Davis-Mazlum is the Arizona state director for UnidosUS, where he leads statewide advocacy, policy and civic engagement initiatives to advance equity and opportunity for Latino communities. With over two decades of experience in political strategy, grassroots mobilization and coalition-building, Enrique has worked across local, national and international platforms to influence progressive change. 

He holds a master’s in public policy and public administration, and a Ph.D. in political science with a focus on equality. He has served in leadership roles across civil rights, immigrant advocacy and electoral campaigns. In 2024, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs appointed him to the Arizona Civil Rights Advisory Board, where he currently serves as vice chair. A frequent media commentator and public speaker, he is also the author of Grassroots: The Sleeping Giant, a book on the transformative power of civic participation. 

Enrique brings a bilingual and bicultural lens to his work, engaging diverse stakeholders to elevate underrepresented voices in policy and public discourse.
