Vice President, Operations and Development

Darcy Eischens is the Vice President, Operations and Development at UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza), where she collaborates with the Chief Operations Officer to develop and conduct effective practices that strengthen UnidosUS’s collective work. In addition to her fundraising work, her portfolio focuses on building the infrastructure needed for UnidosUS to accomplish, measure, and document progress toward goals in support of its mission on behalf of the Latino community.

With more than 25-year’s tenure at UnidosUS, Darcy’s most recent role was leading all aspects of fundraising and reporting for the Policy and Advocacy team, which focuses on issues relevant to the Latino community.

Prior to joining UnidosUS, Darcy worked for more than a decade at the University of Maryland and was a member of the President’s key staff. In that position Darcy had budgetary authority and responsibility for adhering to local, state, and federal regulations, guidelines, and audit procedures. Prior to that, Darcy worked for Klemm Analysis Group, providing statistical analysis in support of litigation against A. H. Robbins, big tobacco, and asbestos companies.

Hailing from the great state of Minnesota, Darcy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, a certificate from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in the Nonprofit Leadership Program and a certificate from Boston College Carroll School of Management in Nonprofit Leadership Development and Organizational Leadership.

Darcy resides in Washington, DC and currently serves on the Board for the Strategic Investment Fund for La Raza (SIFLR).
