Comment on Proposed Community Reinvestment Act Regulations

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) was first enacted into law in 1977 in response to a clear public record of racial and ethnic discrimination, and over the years, it’s proven to revitalize neighborhoods and encourage banks to be innovating with community investments. The current federal proposal moves in the opposite direction and may reduce accountability. UnidosUS urges federal agencies to withdraw the changes and instead strengthen the CRA’s ability to expand economic opportunities.
