How can I register for Changemakers Summit?

Registration is now open. Please visit https://unidosus.org/changemakers/ to register. 

What is the refund policy?

Cancellations will be accepted in writing to [email protected] until Wednesday, February 19, 2025 and are subject to a processing fee.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Transferring a registration to another is permitted prior to Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The substituting party is responsible for all final financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that registration as well as updating all contact information. Substitutions can be made online by accessing the original registrant’s account with their email and confirmation number.

Is the Changemakers Summit open to everybody?

The Changemakers Summit is open only to UnidosUS Affiliates. For more information on how to become an affiliate, please follow: https://unidosus.org/about/affiliates/  

Do you have an event app?

Yes! Follow these steps to download the UnidosUS App. 

1: Download the UnidosUS App from the app store. 

2: Enter your email address you used to register. 

*If you are seeing an old UnidosUS event, please delete the app completely and follow the steps above. 

Are there any COVID-19 Protocols?

We strongly encourage you to please take an over-the-counter COVID test before you travel. On the day of travel, if you are not feeling well, please refrain from traveling. If you are feeling the following symptoms, we encourage you not to travel: fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, headache, loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath. How can I book a room at the headquarter hotel?

Once you register and pay for the Changemakers Summit, you will receive an email confirmation with the link to book in our discounted block. 

What meals are covered in the registration fees?
  • Snacks and cocktail reception items will be available on Monday afternoon and Monday evening.  
  • Tuesday breakfast and Tuesday lunch will be provided. Tuesday dinner is provided to those who attend the Capital Awards.  
How do you accommodate dietary restrictions during meals?
  • Because of the large number of attendees at the meal events, individual custom meal requests will not be accepted. Vegetarian meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees must request for a vegetarian meal with the banquet staff at the beginning of the event. No vegan meals will be available.  
  • Snacks and cocktail receptions offer a variety of foods that can accommodate vegetarians.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: You may register and submit payment afterwards only if you are paying via check. YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED AND PROCESSED. All registration badges and ribbon credentials will be distributed on-site.

Event Policies and Disclaimers 

EVENTS GENERAL POLICY: All events require a registration badge for admission. Priority entrance is available for attendees with a disability who self-identify at the queue area as needing additional time or assistance to be seated before the general entrance doors open. Seats will not be allowed to be saved at the meal events in order to accommodate all attendees before the start of the program. For receptions and parties, attendees 21 years of age and older are required to show a government-issued photo identification in order to receive or purchase alcoholic beverages.  

FOOD SERVICE POLICY: Food service for the general session meal events is only available the first hour of the program. There will only be a fixed number of vegetarian meals available during the breakfast and lunch. Vegetarian meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees must request for a vegetarian meal with the banquet staff at the beginning of the event. No vegan meals will be available. Because of the large number of attendees at the meal events, individual custom meal requests will not be accepted.  

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) forbids discrimination against individuals with disabilities. In compliance with the ADA, Hamilton Hotel provides reasonable accommodation to allow physically challenged individuals to participate in all activities.  

Specific facility questions may be directed to Kristina Villavicencio, UnidosUS Marketing and Events Specialist, at [email protected]. With advance notice (by February 21), UnidosUS will attempt to secure reasonable accommodation and a referral for Changemakers Summit attendees in coordination with the Hamilton Hotel and local accessibility services.  

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY:  As an UnidosUS Changemakers Summit attendee, the registrant hereby grants to UnidosUS the right and permission to use, publish, and republish photographs, video, audio, or images in which the registrant may be included, in whole, part, or composite in any printed or electronic matter or media for any legal purpose, and to use the registrant’s name in conjunction if UnidosUS so chooses. This authorization and release shall also be binding upon the registrant’s heirs, next of kin, and personal representatives. The registrant has read this release and fully understands its contents. The registrant hereby releases and discharges UnidosUS from all claims and liabilities arising out of or about the use of photographs, images, or information.   

DEMOGRAPHIC AND PRIVACY POLICY:  UnidosUS collects demographic information to help us understand who our Changemakers Summit attendees and audience are. UnidosUS may use demographic information from registrants for marketing related to UnidosUS programs, activities, and events. UnidosUS may also share the registrant’s contact information (email only) with approved UnidosUS partners. Payment information is not shared and is kept strictly confidential. Demographic information is shared in aggregate only. If a registrant does not wish to have their contact information shared with UnidosUS-approved partners, the registrant must send an email request to [email protected] stating that the registrant prefers not to have their information shared with UnidosUS’s partners.   

LIABILITY: UnidosUS and its staff, Board, and sponsors claim no liability for the acts of any suppliers relative to this Changemakers Summit or for the safety of any attendee during and/or while in transit to or from this event. The planners and sponsors reserve the right to cancel this function without liability. UnidosUS reserves the right of admittance and the right to exclude from the Changemakers Summit or refuse service to any attendee at the sole discretion of UnidosUS. Furthermore, UnidosUS is under no obligation to provide an explanation for its actions but may do so at its own discretion. 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: The UnidosUS Changemakers Summit will take place at the Hamilton Hotel, which is a public space that will also have guests from other events. While UnidosUS will exercise reasonable efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19, UnidosUS cannot eliminate the risk of contracting any contagious disease in connection with participation in this Event. By attending the Event, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL KNOWN AND UNKNOWN RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 OR OTHER CONTAGIOUS DISEASES. 

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the Event, you hereby FOREVER RELEASE, WAIVE, AND HOLD HARMLESS UNIDOS US from any and all liability, injury, damage, loss, or expense that may arise, directly or indirectly, now or in the future, regardless of whether caused by fault on the part of UnidosUS, in connection with any exposure, infection, or spread of COVID-19 or any other contagious disease related to your participation in the Event. YOU PROMISE NOT TO SUE UnidosUS for any of the claims that you have released, waived, and discharged. 

You understand this release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law and that if any portion of this release and waiver is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. You also agree that this release and waiver extends to, and will be binding upon, me and my estate, heirs, executors, administrators, and personal representatives.
