In March, ICE arrested 2,214 undocumented immigrants, compared with 6,679 in December 2020. This represents a shift back to Obama-era protocols of prioritizing immigrants with criminal records and people who pose a national security threat for deportation.
In a joint suit filed by the state of Texas and the state of Louisiana, Texas’s Attorney General is pushing back against the Biden administration’s change in deportation guidance from that used by the Trump administration.
