Over 4,000 migrants, many kids, crowded into Texas facility
The Biden administration allowed journalists in the facility in Donna, Texas, revealing crowded conditions. While the Biden administration has not expelled unaccompanied minors as the Trump administration previously did, there is a severe backlog in the Department of Health and Human Services’ system as they try to place children with sponsors in the United States.
No ruling in case deciding fate of DACA immigration program
Both sides have been given until early April to provide more information. The U.S. District Judge in the case, Judge Andrew Hanen, has previously said that he believes that DACA is unconstitutional.
Still reeling from Trump-era policies, groups demand Biden address deportation, refugees
Immigrant advocate groups are pushing for Biden to live up to his campaign promise to undo the damage that the Trump administration’s draconian, anti-immigrant policies have caused across the country.
