FAQs

COVID-19 Protocols; Liability Waiver

To prioritize the health and safety of all attendees and participants during this event (collectively, the “Event”), UnidosUS will be implementing health and safety protocols for all Event attendees. Given the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, these protocols are subject to change based on local mandates, without notice. Compliance with these protocols will be mandatory for attendance and participation at the Event.

Please note, UnidosUS reserves the right to implement any protective measures that it deems necessary to protect all Event attendees. UnidosUS also reserves the right to reduce capacity or transition to a virtual experience at any time to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Test Before You Travel

Please take an over-the-counter COVID test before you travel. On the day of travel, if you are not feeling well, please refrain from traveling.

If you are feeling the following symptoms, we encourage you not to travel: fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, headache, loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.

To check a full list of COVID-19 symptoms, please visit the CDC website.

On-site Measures

While face masks may not be required based on CDC guidance, attendees are encouraged to wear masks based on individual comfort levels. Please be respectful of individual decisions on mask usage.

For the health and safety of yourself and our fellow attendees, we strongly encourage attendees who have been in high-risk environments, as deemed by local health agencies, to elect to take a test prior to the event as a courtesy to fellow attendees, even if vaccinated. In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local guidance, individuals who are at a high risk for severe illness due to COVID-19 should talk to their healthcare provider about whether they need to wear a mask and take other precautions as directed. Individuals who have household or social contact with someone at a high risk for severe illness should also consider wearing a mask.

Assumption of Risk

The Event takes place in a public space that will also have guests from other events. While UnidosUS and the National Urban League will exercise reasonable efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19, UnidosUS and the National Urban League cannot eliminate the risk of contracting any communicable disease in connection with participation in this Event. By attending the Event, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL KNOWN AND UNKNOWN RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 OR OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES.
