Photos taken by U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar shows the crowded conditions that unaccompanied minors are facing as Customs and Border Patrol struggles to find enough housing for them.

House passes immigration bills with path to citizenship for DREAMers and farmworkers

This past week, the House voted on two bills that would provide pathways to citizenship to undocumented youth brought to the United States as children, as well as undocumented farmworkers. Both measures had previously passed the House in 2019 with some Republican support.

White House allows press into HHS immigration facility but not one spotlighted by congressmen for crowded conditions

As the number of unaccompanied minors at the border has increased, the White House has been under increased pressure to give access to the facilities to journalists and members of Congress. While a number of journalists and congressmen will visit a facility today, it will not be the one that Representative Cuellar took photos of that went viral.
