Latino Voters: Priorities and Power
In May, thanks in large part to support from donors like you, UnidosUS conducted a bipartisan poll of Latino voters — the largest survey of its kind, polling 3,000 registered Latino voters nationally across 32 competitive congressional districts. The results paint an urgent picture: Latino families are living under severe economic strain, worried about their constitutional protections and holding the federal government directly accountable.
Specifically, the UnidosUS Bipartisan Poll of Hispanic Voters: The Road to 2026, revealed that 83% of those surveyed are locked in a continuous daily struggle to stay financially afloat — stretched by the costs of food, gas, housing, healthcare and basic necessities that keep climbing while wages stay flat and Washington stays distracted or takes actions that make matters worse. Further, 66% say that the administration and congressional Republicans are simply not focused on improving the economy. Ultimately, 76% of those polled plan to vote in November.
Given the incredibly high stakes of the upcoming election cycles, UnidosUS has proudly partnered with three of the most influential Latino civic organizations in the country — LULAC Institute, Mi Familia En Acción and Latino Victory Foundation — to launch the 2026 Latino Civic Engagement Coalition.
For decades, nonpartisan Hispanic civic engagement has been chronically underfunded and treated as an afterthought. Thanks to your invaluable support, this coalition is built to change that norm and redefine how Hispanic voters are engaged: earlier, more personally and closer to the community than ever before, reaching Latinos in more than 40 states.
Now through 2028, the coalition’s strategy to educate and mobilize the Latino electorate includes contacting more than 5 million Hispanic voters with trusted information, registering 250,000 new voters and boosting Latino voter turnout by at least 5%.
