T.A.C.O. Challenge Kickoff round-up

On May 7th, NCLR and mitú kicked off the T.A.C.O. (Take Action. Commit Others.) Challenge, a nationwide voter registration tour. The goal is to register one million Latino millennials to vote in the general election on November 8. Celebrities, musicians, and of course, free tacos, were all on hand as we registered young voters at La Plaza de Culturas Y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles.

If you still need to register to vote, please visit latinosvote2016.org, or download the Latinos Vote app to your Apple or Android mobile device. Once you’re registered, commit your friends, family, and co-workers to register to vote. There’s too much at stake in this election to sit out. Your vote is your voice.

UnidosUS canvassers in Florida have already registered more than 21,000 voters in that state. We are working to build on that success with in-person voter canvassing in Texas, and across all our digital networks nationwide.

Latinos are the largest minority voting bloc in the country, and we could decide local contests across the nation and even determine who will win the presidential election. It is under this context that our initiative ¡Adelante! has been created. #Adelante2020
