UnidosUS Launches a Back to School Hub to Help Educators, Students, and Parents Navigate a Complex New School Year
By UnidosUS Content Specialist Stephanie Presch.
As the school year gets underway amid the ongoing pandemic, the UnidosUS education team is focused on doing what it can to help students, teachers, and parents feel confident they can navigate the complex logistics of this new reality.
They know how important it is for students to be supported, whether they’re going back to a physical classroom or watching a virtual one. They also recognize that students who are low-income, children of color, English learners, or have disabilities, often face additional challenges to obtaining the equal access to a quality education that the American school system is supposed to provide. And finally, they are closely monitoring how the pandemic has exacerbated these students’ opportunity gaps.
ProgressReport.co is committed to helping UnidosUS provide up-to-date information on how policymakers, educators, parents, students, and its own Affiliate network are addressing these concerns. In addition to our regular blog content, we want to make sure our readers know about UnidosUS’s new #BacktoSchool hub, a collection of tools and best-practice resources from leading partner organizations, the CDC, and UnidosUS on:
- Safety + Equity Considerations for Reopening Schools
- Distance Learning Resources
- Whole Student Resources
- Spanish-Language Resources/Recursos enespañol
