Fall Affiliate Convening
Last November, UnidosUS, along with our 2023 Affiliate of the Year Comunidades Unidas, co-hosted our Fall Affiliate Convening in Salt Lake City.
This annual convening offers Affiliate community-based organizations from across the country the opportunity to connect and share expertise. These organizations provide direct services to the Latino community and understand the impact of national policy and initiatives on families and communities. They are our partners in ensuring UnidosUS’s work is responsive to the shifting needs of our community.

The fall convening’s theme, Growing the Power of Us: Strength in the Collective, aimed to inspire thoughtful discussions on strategic capacity, including organizational development and sustainability best practices, as well as connection to the Affiliate Network and insight into the mission and impact of Salt Lake City-based Affiliate of the Year Comunidades Unidas.
Affiliate decision makers and executive leadership participated in small group conversations during breakout tracks throughout the event, which focused on:
- Assessing Organizational Power and Capacity,
- Effective Advocacy Beyond the Basics,
- Tackling Political Disinformation and Hate Speech,
- Latino CBOs and Latino Justice,
- And more!
