The House and the Senate are in recess until Sept. 8.

The White House

On Monday, the president will attend meetings at the White House.  It seems likely he will briefly attend the U.S.-Africa Business Forum to meet some of the visiting African leaders.

On Tuesday, President Obama will deliver remarks and participate in the U.S.-Africa Business Forum, a day of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit focused on strengthening trade and financial ties between the United States and Africa. In the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Obama will host a dinner at the White House for African heads of state and government and select guests.

On Wednesday, the president will participate in Summit Leader Meetings as part of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit.

On Thursday and Friday, President Obama will attend meetings at the White House.
