Thank You Victor Leandry

On behalf of the NCLR, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Victor Leandry, Executive Director of El Centro de Servicios Sociales, for his eight years of service, leadership, and dedication to the Affiliate Council (AC), NCLR Board of Directors and to the Midwest Region. Victor has been instrumental in the Affiliate Council’s development; as AC Chair he helped to elevate the role of Affiliates both within NCLR, as well as with our external friends and partners. As his term ends, we are thankful for his contributions and principled leadership in helping NCLR advance the regional strategy and Affiliate initiatives. We will miss his presence and thoughtful insight at the AC and Board meetings, but we are that confident our strong relationship will continue.

Victor Leandry has also been a commendable leader for El Centro de Servicios Sociales in Lorain, Ohio. He steered a strategic initiative to address the growing need for services and launched a four-year capital campaign that raised the necessary funds to renovate property acquired from the city of Lorain. On December 14, 2011, El Centro moved to the newly renovated offices. He has increased visibility for El Centro and moved the organization to an exciting new level of effectiveness. We applaud Victor’s community efforts and collaborative spirit.

As we bid farewell to Victor as our Midwest Affiliate Council representative, we look forward to continuing our affiliation and strengthening our collective work for Latinos across the country.
