Rallying in California for Immigration Reform!
Today in California, we joined our Affiliate network and Latino leaders from around the state in a rally at the State Capitol to urge members of the California State Legislature to pass Assembly Joint Resolution 3 (AJR 3). The measure is an important one as it details a set of principles for repairing the nation’s broken immigration system.
There were more than 300 advocates in attendance and the rally included our President and CEO, Janet Murguía, as well as Assemblyman Luis Alejo (D–Calif 30.), the author of AJR 3. The rally was followed by visits to member offices.
