SNAP, which stands for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is one of our country’s best ways to fight hunger.

You might know it as EBT or food stamps. And for many families it means the difference between having enough to eat or going without.

Protect SNAP

More than 40 million Americans, including 10 million low-income Latinos, look to the program to help put food on the table and make ends meet. Around two-thirds of SNAP recipients include children, seniors, and the disabled.

Protect SNAPThe House Agriculture Committee’s Farm Bill would cut nearly $20 billion dollars in benefits and lead to increased hunger and hardship for millions of hardworking Americans, including Latinos.

So instead of trying to destroy SNAP, Congress should focus on protecting and strengthening the program so it works for as many people as possible.
