The latest in immigration: NCLR and Affiliates participate in the New Americans Campaign National Naturalization Practitioners Conference; Immigration Advocates Network provides webinar series on technology; and the Partnership for a New American Economy releases 50 state reports.

Practitioners gather for citizenship conference: NCLR and a number of NCLR Affiliates participated in the New Americans Campaign (NAC) National Naturalization Practitioners Conference in San Francisco last week. More than 200 participants gathered to share effective practices in assisting legal permanent residents apply to become U.S. citizens. NCLR Affiliate of the Year, Hispanic Unity, shared their experience working towards becoming an agency recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals in order to provide application assistance to their clients in South Florida. Staff of nonprofit organizations can join the NAC Ning, a networking platform, to access information about innovative partnerships, service delivery models using the citizenshipworks online platform, and much more.

New webinar series offers immigration organizations technology resources: The Immigration Advocates Network, in partnership with Idealware, invites staff of nonprofit organizations to join a free six-part training series that addresses the practical technology needs of immigrant rights and immigration legal services organizations. New reports outline the contributions of immigrants in each state: The Partnership for a New American Economy released a series of reports, one for each state and the District of Columbia, as part of its Reason for Reform campaign.
