This paper offers an analysis–department by department–of the proposed FY 2003 budget from a Hispanic perspective. The sections highlight departments and specific program areas that are important to Latinos, provide an overall analysis of the administration’s budget priorities, and offer policy recommendations for the administration and Congress.
Since 1968, we have challenged the social, economic, and political barriers that affect Latinos through our unique combination of expert research, advocacy, programs, and an Affiliate Network of nearly 300 community-based organizations across the United States and Puerto Rico.
