The purpose of this memorandum is to inform National Council of La Raza (NCLR) Affiliates about funding opportunities for workforce development and job training programs as provided in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Signed into law on February 17, 2009 by President Obama, ARRA, also known as the economic stimulus or recovery act, will invest billions of dollars in job training and adult education initiatives.
