UnidosUS President and CEO to testify before House Financial Services Committee on the need to include Latinos in stimulus efforts

WASHINGTON, DC—Janet Murguía, President and CEO of UnidosUS, the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, will testify before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services on Feb. 4, 2021, to discuss the disproportionate economic hurdles faced by Latinos during the pandemic.

Murguía’s testimony at the Thursday hearing will highlight the federal government’s need to fully include communities of color in the country’s economic response to the coronavirus pandemic. Other civil rights leaders will also testify, along with noted economists.

The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday and can be livestreamed on the Finance Committee’s YouTube channel. More details below:
